Non-profit brand The Simple Good has released its second Art Activity Book, aimed at promoting social-emotional learning in kids.

The four goals of social-emotional learning that the book intends to develop in young readers are: 1) Being aware of yourself and how you feel and act. 2) Being in control of how you feel and interact with others. 3) Awareness of the world around you. 4) Actively working on building positive relationships by making responsible decisions.

The newest edition of the Arts and Activities book is a Chicago-edition, and showcases the work of notable Windy City artists, including Alyssa Low, Goosenek, Nate Otto, and many more. Each piece of artwork and activity intends to help develop empathy and self-awareness in kids.

With multiple offshoots into arts and entrepreneurship programs, the organization published its first print edition of the Art Activity Book in 2020 in order to meet the needs of kids that didn’t have online access to social-emotional curriculum online.

The book is recommended for kids ages 10 and up, and can be purchased for $25. For more information on The Simple Good’s mission and curriculum, or to purchase the Arts and Activity Book, check out The Simple Good website.
