Before kids head back to school, they can enjoy some A+ episodes from PBS Kids’ fan-favorite shows. From meeting new characters to reuniting with old friends, kids can enjoy their screen time with content premiering this August and September.
New fun and educational adventures are on the way with The Day You Begin. Beginning August 7, families can watch a one-hour animated special adapted from National Book Award-winning author Jacqueline Woodson’s book. The story follows four imaginative kids on their first day of school, and there, they learn to open up and share what makes them unique.

Back-to-school programming is also the focus of Season 8 of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, with more learning adventures starting Aug. 10. Donkey Hodie and Weather Hunters join the fun Aug. 17 with new episodes featuring special guests. Rounding out the August premieres are exciting journeys for Carl the Collector, including a back-to-school story.
September delivers more learning opportunities with new episodes for Work It Out Wombats!, Alma’s Way, Rosie’s Rules, and Elinor Wonders Why. Families can learn more about these series by visiting pbskids.org.
